The Basecamp 65 keyboard employs mechanical switches with a fixed actuation point, meaning the trigger point is set and cannot be adjusted. Conversely, the Basecamp 65HE keyboard utilizes Hall-Effect switches, allowing for a dynamic actuation point that can be digitally configured anywhere along the key's travel path. Users can manually adjust these switches via onboard function keys or through Higround's Forge control web app for precise customization.
The Basecamp 65HE keyboard uses special switches with Hall-Effect technology. These switches work like a digital slider, letting you choose where a key press registers. This means you can customize how the keys respond to your touch, making it great for gaming. You can even make certain keys more sensitive than others for better control. You can easily adjust these settings using the keyboard's function keys or an app, giving you better control and performance during games.
You can use Higround’s Forge App.
A 65% keyboard is a smaller version of a regular keyboard. It has most of the important keys, like letters, numbers, and arrow keys, but it doesn't have the number pad on the side or some extra keys at the top. It's popular because it's compact and easy to carry around, while still having the keys you need for typing and gaming.
The Basecamp 65HE doesn't have F-keys to make the keyboard more compact and portable. This design saves space, making it easier to carry around and fit on smaller desks. Even without the F-keys, you can still access their functions using key combinations or software, so you don't lose any functionality.
The Basecamp 65HE is fully Mac compatible. The Windows key on a Higround keyboard functions as the Command key on a Mac, and the Alt key functions as the Option key. You can remap these keys to match the Mac layout by going to System Preferences > Keyboard > Modifier Keys
The Basecamp 65HE keyboard is wired to ensure optimal performance in competitive and high-performance environments. Wired keyboards offer low latency, meaning there's minimal delay between pressing a key and the action happening on screen. Additionally, wired connections are less prone to interference from other electronic devices, ensuring a stable and reliable connection during intense gaming or professional use.
The Basecamp 65HE's magnetic switches and keycaps can be modified. However, due to the Hall-Effect technology, the keyboard is optimized for peak performance with the included switches. The keyboard comes with lubed switches, lubed stabilizers, and dampening materials in its frame. If you want to make it even more your own, you can swap out the keycaps and add extra sound dampening materials. These tweaks can make the Basecamp 65HE feel even more personalized and fun to use.
Great sound and quality
It’s very well I’ve had no problems
Love the sound and love the fact you can customize the actuation to the keyboard on the fly with the keyboard combo. Makes using this keyboard a really fun experience. I primarily use it for gaming and it's almost my go-to when I go in office I bring it in my bag.
I supWhen I first received this keyboard, I was surprised because it was lightweight. But it stuck well enough on my desk when I was slipping or playing intense games. It's the right keyboard for everyone, from cost-effectiveness to performance to style.
Sounds really good for price
